Dr. Nizar Saab

Dr. Nizar Saab

When I was 16 I was playing competitive ice hockey when I became injured after a bad body check. My right leg was in excruciating pain and I was unable to put any pressure on it. I had assumed I had broken it. After seeing the top sports doctor in my city, he confirmed it was not broken and the muscles were strained. I tried everything from physiotherapy to powerful anti-inflammatory drugs and dangerous painkillers and nothing would come close to touching the pain. Not to mention the effects on my quality of life—just imagine 16 years of age and being unable to compete in the sports you loved, concentrate in school, or even get a good nights sleep for that matter. That is where and when my path began that led me to becoming a chiropractor— one of the parents of a team mate of mine suggested I go see her chiropractor. I explained to her there was nothing wrong with my back or my neck…it was my leg. She insisted I go see him “he’s a miracle worker” she said.

In very few visits a chiropractor got me out of pain and I was back on the ice playing hockey again. Through this experience I became enlightened by the power of the human body and its healing ability. Chiropractic changed my perspective on life thereafter. Going through a process of what seemed incurable pain at such a young age affected me profoundly. I changed my entire lifestyle to one of achieving and maintaining incredible levels of health, function and happiness through a chiropractic wellness lifestyle.

Fast forward eight years…I was so amazed by the human body and the power of a chiropractic adjustment that I decided to apply for chiropractic school. I attended my undergraduate studies in Toronto, Canada where I received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I worked as a locum chiropractor for one year in Australia and this is where I realized the true human potential of people and the philosophy of chiropractic wellness. I went back home to Canada and built two very successful chiropractic wellness centres.

I moved back to Australia in 2006 to fulfill a vision of inspiring and educating as many people as possible to realise their human potential! I am committed and determined to achieve my vision so as to have a major impact on the health and wellbeing of my community.

I am a much healthier person today than I was before I started chiropractic wellness care. I exercise 4 to 5 days a week to maintain my health as well as keep my diet in check. I also work hard at keeping my flexibility through stretching and yoga.

This is my story in a nut shell—but I am more interested in hearing yours. I look forward to the opportunity to sit down with you and discuss your health and lifestyle goals. Why wait another day to release your human potential?

Tina Lembo

Tina Lembo - Wellness Team Coordinator

I have had a neck problem for over 20 years and I lived in constant pain.

As far as I was concerned there was nothing I could do about it so pain became apart of my life.

That was until I met the team from Longevity Wellness Centre.

After a program of care the tension in my neck is gone and I started to notice other wonderful changes ie: sitting and standing for long period of time pain free, increased energy, improved sleep and the list goes on.

My passion is to help people and make a difference in their lives so working with the wonderful team at the Longevity Wellness Centre is the perfect job for me.

I also volunteer at Radio Lolli Pop at PMH Perth Children’s Hospital. I get to play games, read books and make the sick children laugh.

Hobbies and activities: I love to keep fit playing soccer, tennis, squash and ten pin bowling. Bike riding, fishing, walking, reading and gardening are some of the activities I enjoy.

Corinne Malesic

Corinne Malesic - Head Chiropractic Assistant

I began studying Naturopathy this year after deciding it was time for a change of career and have found a great passion for the health and wellbeing industry. Working at the Longevity Wellness Centre gives me the chance to work with like-minded people and to chat to all our wonderful clients who have also decided to take a proactive approach to health.

Having enjoyed the benefits of naturopathy and massage for a few years, I am just now experiencing chiropractic care for the first time and learning how important it is to keep the spine performing at its optimum level in order promote health throughout the whole body.

For me, maintaining my health and wellbeing allows me to enjoy my lifestyle which includes spending time with family and friends, travelling, studying, playing tennis, yoga and relaxing at the beach.

Michelle House

Michelle House - Chiropractic Assistant

I am currently a studying Biomedical Science at Murdoch University and looking to transfer into the Chiropractic degree. As a “mature age” student, I am passionate and excited about the prospect of being involved in such a rewarding career and love the whole philosophy behind chiropractic and it’s beliefs in healing naturally.

I was lucky enough to be forwarded the opportunity to come and work at Longevity Wellness Centre after a short time doing work experience and am so grateful to be part of such a relaxed yet professional and caring team.

When a get time out from study and work I love to go out dancing with friends, go for long walks and just sitting back, relaxing and enjoying life:)

Dr. Nizar Asks some important questions of interest to Perth residents - Chiropractor Perth Dr. Nizar Asks...

How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Perth encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognise two types of nerve disorders involved in vertebral subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
